WE TEACH YOU TO SPEAK DOG

During training and daily life activities with your puppy/dog we recommend that you try your best to form a strong bond based on trust and love: Training from the Heart and Soul — Not the leash and collar. Have fun while you train! We want to see smiles and tail wags!

AKC FIT DOG

Now more than ever, fitness is important for both dogs and people. The most commonly recommended exercise to improve fitness is walking. Walking is considered a safe activity that improves muscular strength, circulation, memory, weight loss, increases energy, helps with sleep, and reduces stress. The American Heart Association recommends walking a minimum of 150 minutes per week. Participation in the AKC FIT DOG program will bring health benefits to both you and your dog.

To promote health and fitness for dogs and their owners, AKC FIT DOG clubs will:

  1. Conduct at least 4 group fitness walks per year, or

  2. Conduct regularly scheduled canine fitness/conditioning classes.

In the fitness walks and classes, dogs and owners may participate at their own individual skill level.

DO MORE WITH YOUR DOG

TRICK DOG:

To earn a trick dog title, the dog demonstrates a minimum number of tricks from a list for a Certified Trick Dog Instructor (CTDI). The tricks may be demonstrated on different days, in person, or via video.

CANINE CONDITIONING FITNESS:

Physical fitness is just as important for dogs as it is for people. Improving your dog’s fitness and health can increase their lifespan and limit vet visits as they get older. It reduces their risk of sports-related injury, joint problems, and arthritis. Dogs who are conditioned and healthy tend to live happier and more playful lives.
